Goldratt's Thinking Processes

 


WORKSHOP CONTENT
 

The Goldratt Thinking Process Workshop contains three parts:
  1. Analyzing the current reality and get full understanding of all the critical issues that must be addressed by the holistic approach for the significant improvement.
  2. Developing a Strategic solution for the company for achieving a significant growth.
  3. Developing and have the expert views of the Strategy & Tactic Tree for implementing the solution and making the solution a major part of the way the company is run.

 

Part 1: Current Reality Analysis

It will start with building the company's Current Reality Tree, while recording the prevailing logic explaining how the major undesirable effect (UDEs) cause the gaps on the performance and blocking achieving higher goal.

Then the work will be done to define and verbalize properly the Core Conflict Cloud, and from this result, the direction of the solution will be established. The direction clearly states the decisive competitive edge that provides the base for the significant growth of the company.

Part 2:
Developing the strategic solution

Based on the direction of the solution and the logic revealed in the current reality - the major elements of the solution are constructed - the injections.

The logic of the solution is then checked through constructing the cause and effect relations that establish the Future Reality Tree. The perceived potential risk associated with the successful implementation of the injections is checked through the process of Negative Branch Reservations. If necessary other elements are introduced into the solution or addressed by the implementation plan.

By the end of part 2 of the workshop the executive will have a clear direction and detailed solution for moving forwards.

Part 3: The Strategy & Tactic Tree

The objective of this part is to have a good enough S&T - Strategy and Tactic tree. The S&T which will provide the guidance for the overall implementation of the solution - including: Build, Capitalize, Sustain and Institutionalizing (integrating) into the way the organization is run.

The executives will be prepared for the process of validating the S&T with all of the top Management of their company. They will be taught how to handle reservations and how to properly use input from others to upgrade the S&T.

Remote help (via email and occasionally Skype calls) will be given if upgrades will be needed.
